Understand configuration-driven incident aggregation and when to use Advanced alarms.
Some SmartgridX environments include a configured incident-surveillance dashboard that aggregates conditions across several sites. This is not a universal static route in the current Insights application; it appears when the active view supplies the matching dashboard route and configuration.
An incident rule can combine:
Alarm watchdogs have been replaced by Advanced alarms. Use that guide for alarm rules, analysis, and notifications. Incident surveillance aggregates conditions across sites.
| Use | Best fit |
|---|---|
| Notify when an alarm opens or resolves | Advanced alarms notifications. |
| Aggregate the number or percentage of affected sites into one portfolio condition | Configured incident surveillance. |
| Open the Advanced alarms workspace | Access and loading. |
Verify the configured route
Because incident surveillance is dashboard-configured, field names and available triggers can differ by organisation. Use the labels in the active portal and test the threshold with a controlled condition before relying on it for escalation.
