A custom monitoring domain provides a branded entry point for the login page and dashboard. Coordinate the exact DNS target with Eniris before creating the record, because infrastructure targets can change independently of the Insights application code.
Use a dedicated hostname such as monitoring.example.com and create the instructed CNAME record rather than pointing directly to an IP address.
Do not point to an undocumented IP address
Direct IP records make migrations and failover harder and can break TLS routing. Use the hostname supplied for the white-label environment.
