Choose energy management or asset monitoring and set account defaults.
The dashboard type controls the account's main working context. Energy management focuses on buildings and consumption. Asset monitoring focuses on sites, generation, storage and equipment performance.
The setting belongs to the account. Other users of that account receive the same context; switching to another customer does not copy the first customer's dashboard configuration.
Select Asset monitoring and save the dashboard type for the account. Fictional demonstration data.
Asset-monitoring mode uses Sites terminology and the Unify product context. Its available widgets and navigation focus on equipment and production. Building-management, school-year, cost and meter-status features intended for energy management are not part of the asset-monitoring experience.
The mode also makes the supported device-property editor available. It does not create missing measurements, commission a device or grant additional upstream permissions.
Use the dashboard library to create and save an account dashboard, then set it as the default when authorized. This is separate from choosing the dashboard type and from arranging an individual site's widgets.
Some accounts also have a configured account cockpit with its own title, appearance and module selection. Review those settings in their own section rather than assuming a custom cockpit replaces every site's dashboard.
Check account configuration rights and confirm that the intended account is selected. A personal browser preference cannot replace an account-level setting. After saving, reopen the account or refresh if an older view is still displayed.
