Reference terms used throughout Unify asset monitoring.
| Term | Meaning in this manual |
|---|---|
| Account | The customer or organizational context selected in the portal |
| Site | An installation represented at the root of an equipment hierarchy |
| Asset / device | Equipment or a configured child node within a site |
| AC node | A grouping or measurement level on the alternating-current side |
| DC capacity | Installed photovoltaic peak capacity, usually expressed in kWp |
| kW | Power: the instantaneous or interval-averaged rate of energy transfer |
| kWh | Energy accumulated over a period |
| kWp | PV peak capacity under reference conditions |
| MWp | 1,000 kWp |
| Specific production / specific yield | Production energy divided by installed DC capacity, in kWh/kWp |
| PR | Performance ratio: production relative to capacity and irradiation for qualifying intervals |
| Irradiance | Solar power per unit area, typically W/m² |
| Irradiation | Solar energy per unit area over time, typically kWh/m² |
| Panel plane | The plane of the PV modules, rather than necessarily a horizontal surface |
| Availability | An operational measure whose calculation and exclusions must be specified |
| Data coverage | The portion of a period for which usable or paired measurements exist |
| SoC | Battery state of charge, expressed as a percentage |
| Setpoint | A requested operating value, distinct from its measured response |
| Curtailment | Intentional limitation of production or power |
| MTD | Month to date: from the start of the month to the available current point |
| YTD | Year to date: from the start of the year to the available current point |
| Expected production | A reference production series derived from the configured inputs |
| Target | An explicitly configured objective with an applicable period |
| Retention / resolution | The duration and granularity at which historical measurements remain available |
| Local profile | Portal-specific user preferences or restrictions, not a new upstream membership |
A percentage is meaningful only with its definition, period and exclusions. PR, target realization, availability and data coverage can all be percentages but describe different properties. When comparing tools or reports, first align the selected equipment, dates, units and available measurements.
