Edit the selected device and supply the inputs needed for performance calculations.
In asset-monitoring mode, the site's Properties section exposes the supported properties of the selected device. Available fields depend on device type and your permissions.
A read-only field can reflect your permissions or a property that is not editable for this device. Changing the selected device with unsaved edits may require a decision to keep working or discard them.
Expand Theoretical ideal production to review the capacity, losses, orientation and inclination provided for the selected device. Fictional demonstration data.
| Input | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Installed DC peak capacity | Normalizes specific production and contributes to PR calculations |
| Panel-plane configuration | Supports the interpretation of irradiation and expected production |
| Theoretical production settings and periods | Define applicable expectations for the selected equipment |
| Device identity and hierarchy | Associate properties with the correct physical asset |
Use installation records for capacity and panel geometry. Do not substitute an inverter's AC rating for the installed PV DC peak capacity. Follow the field's displayed orientation convention; compass conventions are not interchangeable.
Reopen the properties to confirm the saved values, then review a completed period on the dashboard or PV report. A correct capacity does not repair erroneous historical energy readings. If measured energy and power disagree, investigate the data-quality warning separately.
The additional-properties section can expose structured values. Only change a value when its meaning is known; replacing an entire structure can affect more than the visible display name.
